Internet Explorer의 select가 iframe보다 위로 올라오는 현상

Internet Explorer에서 select와 iframe?을 사용하면 예상치 못하게 select가 모든 엘리먼트보다 위에 나와서 구현이 힘든 경우가 있다. Internet Explorer는 element를 windowed elements와 windowless elements로 나누어 처리 하는데 Internet Explorer 5.5에 와서 이 element 모델이 바뀌었다. 그래서 Internet Explorer 5.5이전의 브라우져에서는 z-index?가 지정이 안되어서 위에 iframe?을 사용할 수 없는 경우가 있다.
